Sebastian Inlet sea turtle nest numbers as of April 1 2024
Here's the sea turle nesting update at Sebastian Inlet. The counts include beaches to the north and south of the inlet (Zones A-F), and as of today, survey teams have identified:

Loggerhead - 0
Greens - 0
Leatherback - 3
Kemps – 0
Total – 3
The Sebastian Inlet District works in tandem with park officials and employs biologiststo conduct daily surveys on the beaches just South of Sebastian Inlet – along a one-half mile stretch starting near McLarty Treasure Museum and continuing South to Ambersand beach access in Indian River County. District monitoring efforts began on March 1 and will continue through the end of the nesting season in October.
